What is a Broad Match Modifier in Google Adwords | 2018 | [1:13]

– [Lori Ballen] This video
answers the question, what is a broad match
modifier keyword type in a Google AdWords campaign. In a previous video, we talked
about broad match keywords, and broad match keywords
essentially are when you type in just a regular set of keyword phrases, this top one here, and
you’re saying, hey, Google, I’m willing to bid on this
if you think there’s any type of similar searches whatsoever. It’s risky. You’ll get a whole lot of things in there that may not be related, but Google does its best
job in returning searches that are similar, but they may not contain any
of those keywords whatsoever. Where a broad match modifier, you have these little plus
signs in front of each one, and you’re saying, hey, google, I’m willing to bid on any
phrase, any combination, words in the middle, words in
the front, words at the end, but I want these three
words to be somewhere in their search, the word
real, the word estate, and the word agent. I want it to be somewhere in their search, and I’m willing to pay on that. That is what a broad match modifier is.
