How To Use Flipboard To Grow Your Content Marketing Reach

I know as a content marketer myself how much
time and effort goes into creating that right piece of content. And of course, finding the right medium to
publish it to get the results that you need to help grow your business. However, just hitting that publish button
is not enough, and maybe you’re on a very small team, and you can’t produce content
all the time? So in this video, I’m going to explain to
you how you can drive thousands of visitors to your content, how you can find new content
to share to your audience, and best of all, it’s free. Hey everyone, I’m Hans van Gent of User Growth
and welcome to another video. If this is your first time here and you want
to learn how to grow your business, start now by subscribing and clicking the bell,
so you don’t miss anything. And now let’s get started. In this video, I will be talking about an
app that is named one of the most important apps of all time by CNET. It’s called Flipboard and using it will only
take around five to ten minutes of your time per day. As a marketing channel, it is also one of
the easiest ways to drive thousands of page views to your site as it can introduce your
brand and your content to an audience of more than a 100 million people. The only thing you have to do to get noticed
and get the word out there is just adding content to a magazine you create yourself
within the app. It’s a little bit like Pinterest; it also
has a browser extension that allows you to Flip, instead of Pin a piece of content. And instead of it being visible on a board,
readers can consume the content by viewing it in a beautiful magazine. If you want traffic to your website, Flipboard
is by far the easiest way to get it with the least amount of efforts. Why? Well, unlike any other social media network,
Flipboard is super easy to get started. From account creation to beginning to see
results, it can all be done overnight. On top of that, you don’t need a large following
to start to see results. Because when you start adding content to Flipboard,
it automatically assigns a category like Marketing, Business, Advertising, or even things like
Recipes. So it doesn’t matter which content you “flip”
into your magazine, their algorithm automatically scans for content being added, and it can
feature it as the best content for your category every single day. Isn’t that great? I mean you, if you don’t need to spend lots
of time trying to build a social following, it means you can focus on the real job, and
that is curating content There are a lot of different ways you can
use Flipboard to promote your business. Let’s have a look at some of them. Number 1: Using Flipboard to cover what is
happening in your niche The first one is rather straightforward; content
marketing is there to showcase your expertise. And you can do that by showing that you are
aware of what is happening in your industry. What better way to show this by having a magazine
dedicated just for that purpose. Of course, there might already be others doing
this, but that should not stop you from starting your magazine with your voice, of course. Number 2: Using Flipboard as a press kit
If people are writing about your company a lot, what better way to showcase this by combining
all the pieces of content in a dedicated magazine? This way, people interested in your company
always have the latest news about your business readily available to them in an easily digestible
format. Number 3: Using Flipboard for brainstorming
and internal market research When brainstorming on new topics to produce
content around, or when doing market research having an internal, or private magazine, might
be a great way to combine all the ideas and all the latest news about your competitors
for example. Number 4: Using Flipboard for your product
catalogue or as a photo album Another way to use Flipboard is almost like
you would use Pinterest. You can create separate magazines holding
an overview of all the products that you’re selling. This way your salespeople can have an easy
and beautiful way to showcase all of them to your potential clients. Or maybe you’re holding an event, and you
can use Flipboard to create a photo album afterwards. The great thing is that Flipboard is not limited
to just news stories or articles in general, you can also flip photos. Number 5: Using Flipboard to market your content
All of the items I just mentioned are great, but I bet you’re wondering how you can market
your content on Flipboard. Well if you want to get the most amount of
value of Flipboard you need to be active on the platform and curate content on a regular
basis. Using apps like Nuzzel and Refind, newsletters
that you’re subscribed to, they can all serve as inspiration for curating content. Of course, adding only the content of others
won’t do you any personal good. So start infusing your content to your magazines
as well. Since Flipboard is designed as a news aggregation
app, just add this to your to-do list as soon as you hit that publish button on your new
piece of content. Content should not live in a vacuum. Flipboard is an excellent way to get your
content in front of a lot of readers and isn’t that what we all want when we produce a piece
of content? There is no reason not to add Flipboard to
your list of social networks and start seeing results straight away as well. It will help you get your content seen by
a highly targeted group of people interested in the topics you’re writing about. It will drive engaged traffic and hopefully
new leads in your direction. That’s it for this video. Thank you for watching and if you want some
more in-depth knowledge about Flipboard and for example how you can implement share buttons
straight on your website so people can “flip” your content in their magazines, be sure to
