Facebook Live with a DSLR? — Blackmagic Web Presenter for Live Streaming

– So livestreaming is
all of the rage right now and Blackmagic recently came
out with the Web Presenter which allows you to bring any camera in, switch between sources, and
do some super cool stuff for Facebook Live, Youtube
live, and other platforms. So we’re gonna be talking
about it in this video. (upbeat techno music) Hey, what’s up guys, Sean
here with THiNK Media TV helping you go further, faster in media and we’re here at NAB
at the Blackmagic booth checking out the Blackmagic web presenter now this is a super cool,
livestreaming solution that’s all in this nice box, right here and basically what it
does is it makes any STI or HDMI source look like a 720p USB webcam for a high quality
streaming to Youtube, Skype, Facebook or anywhere else. So essentially what you could
do is let’s say you have a video camera with an HDMI
out, you could plug that into this box, and then they
also offer an optional panel that you can put on the front here and then you can switch between sources. So my practical use case of this would be I wanna go live to Youtube but I want it to look great, better than a webcam. So I’m gonna use a pro
camera, I’m gonna put it into this box, and then I’m also I would add this panel on the front here and then I could switch
between, say an HDMI source and plug my computer
into that HDMI source. In effect what you’d create is
the ability to be on camera, talk to the camera, but then
with just the touch of a button you’re gonna switch over to your screen, you can do like a webinar,
a slide presentation, do some training, and then
you could easily switch back at with just a push of
a button on the fly. Have this little guy sitting on your desk and you’re good to go. So the price is 499 USD
and then to add this panel is about another 85 dollars so for about 600 dollars, you’re gonna
have all the scaling a lot of the heavy lifting
done inside of this box and then you can plug that
into your computer through USB and then you’d use something like OBS which is a free software or
Wirecast or something else to send your stream to Youtube
where everyone has send it. So super excited about
this, also inside of here you can do some different
video settings between auto, STI or HDMI, you can do some different audio
settings, and you can also in the menu, change the
transition so it’s a fade or not go between source 1, source 2 it got a little USB port on
the front for firmware updates and so a super cool solution
to take your livestream game up to a pro level and get
some awesome awesome results and so of course, we’ll
link up this product all the specs and all the details in the Youtube description below. Question of the Day, what
are you using to Livestream? Are you just going live from your phone? From a webcam? Are you using any kind of software? And are you using any kind of hardware? Let me know what your setup is in the Youtube comments below. So thanks so much for
