Content Marketing

Hi Guys! I am Lauren and welcome to another episode of Blue Moon Digital Brainiacs. Today, I will be talking about content marketing. Content Marketing is really about cutting
through the noise to bring your content to those that are looking for it. At its heart, content marketing is all about
sharing content. It aims to connect to people on an emotional level. It is a symbiotic relationship
really. You are gaining people’s trust by providing value. The more they know you, and
the more they like you, the more willing they will be to do business with you. Good Content Marketing has these 5 elements Provides value
Shared across social platforms Externally links
Doesn’t interrupt Creates loyalty But, having great content on your site doesn’t
mean anything if no one ever engages with it. So, there has to be a promotion plan.
Basically, how are you going to get it in front of the people looking for it? Be best way to make the most out of your content
is a combination of Owned, Earned, and Paid. So let’s break that down a little further. Owned is probably the easiest piece, so we’ll
start there. Owned is a space where you publish your content.
Hopefully, you have a blog or a website. But if not, social media outlets can serve as owned platforms as well. Obviously optimizing your on-site content
for search engines is a must! And should be a priority as far as earned interest goes.
Again, social can work here too, you have to earn people’s engagement. Moving on to paid. Optimizing your content isn’t enough. There needs to be paid efforts as well. Clearly, you were probably thinking about it earlier, there has to be a paid side to those social platforms. So really, social is, or can be, all three pillars of supporting your content marketing
efforts. Another important element to note is Influencer
marketing is a big piece of the puzzle. Partnering with Influencers can be paid or earned. The FTC has started to
issue more strict guidelines for Influencers. So, I would advise using an agency to navigate
these rules. And that is not because I am bias. Content marketing isn’t going to go anywhere.
In fact, it will only continue to grow in strength of presence.
